The VO2 Max Test is a method of testing cardiovascular fitness and the body's ability to intake, transport and utilize oxygen during exercise. The Wingate test involves a 30-second maximal effort during pedaling against heavy resistance. It is an anaerobic test that measures peak power, average power, and rate of fatigue. We use the Velotron system as shown in the video.
We utilize a variety of Keiser equipment in our facility. Keiser equipment uses compressed air to create resistance for the user instead of traditional weighted methods. Each piece of equipment features a screen which shows the current resistance, number of repetitions and in addition to these readings the testing equipment features power output readings. Check out these links to Keiser's Youtube Channel or their website for more information. The Youtube channel features videos about some of our pieces of equipment and exercises that they can be used for. Look for the videos featuring the POWER Rack, Triple Trainer (Functional Trainer) and the Runner.
